Griffith Therapy and Life Skills Centre

Our Griffith Therapy and Life Skills Centre brings an extra dimension to the college autism provision.

Our students benefit from this amazing separate space which incorporates two autistic designed classrooms with the latest technology. This means our lecturers and support works can deliver a programme to our students allowing them to develop their skills in an appropriate setting which helps to reduce anxiety.

Learning business skills

Griffith Therapy and Life Skills Centre houses a business suite, funded by the DM Thomas Foundation for Young People, which assists students to gain experience of working in a replicated office environment.

This allows the students to build their confidence and skills in a safe environment which will increase their opportunity for employment in the future.

Greater independence

A fully working kitchen based in Griffith Therapy and Life Skills Centre allows our students to experience first-hand the benefit of preparing and cooking meals.

This will mean that going forward they will have greater independence which will open up opportunities for independent living provisions in the future.

Therapy support

The College therapy team are based in Griffiths where they have a fantastic suite of therapy rooms fitted out with the most up to date equipment.

Occupational and physio therapy will be delivered to our students in a dedicated environment which is conducive to ensuring the students have a positive therapy experience where our therapist are totally focused on enhancing the students’ physical abilities.
