Eastenders stars show support for Santa Run 2016

On Sunday 11 December, 180 Santa's, including two elves and a self-made Santa's sleigh joined Young Epilepsy, the national charity operating St Piers, at Lingfield Park Racecourse for the second Santa Run, raising an incredible £3,539 and counting!

Our Santa's were excited to meet EastEnders stars Barry (Shaun Williamson) and Honey (Emma Barton), who kindly took time out of their busy pantomime rehearsal to open our Santa Run.

It’s amazing to see so many supporters getting in the festive spirit today for Young Epilepsy. Just by taking part Young Epilepsy can continue supporting the 112,000 children and young people living with epilepsy across the UK.

Young Epilepsy are tackling epilepsy with young people across the UK. Well done to everyone bringing the Christmas cheer, completing the Santa Run and for supporting a great cause.

Brilliant to have so many supporters here today. #TeamOwen had 19 runners and to be a part of the 180 runners is fab. Always great to support the cause, especially when it gets us feeling festive.

Such a fantastic morning for the Santa Run 2016! So many happy Santa’s for such a good cause. My son goes to the college, so it’s extra special for us to be involved.

Lovely to see so many happy faces, never seen so many Santa’s in one place. Excellent turn out and a good laugh. Will definitely come back next year.

This is our first year at Young Epilepsy, we have loved the Santa Run as our family could all join in the fun and support a wonderful cause, we will be back next year.

This was our first Santa Run and it was such a great fun. My two children (aged 4 and 6) loved it. It was well run and the weather was brilliant. It is a great way to support a very good cause. Thank you.

My sister in law, Donna Mullis, works at St Piers. We wanted to do the Santa Run to support the great work all the staff do and to help raise money and support for the young people the charity supports. We will help this wonderful charity in any way we can.
Santa runner, James Mitchell
