Life after college

We support students’ transition from the day they arrive at St Piers College. This includes providing work experience in the local community, e.g. our employability schemes with East Surrey hospital.

By their final year, our aim is for students to show greater independence and we work closely with local authorities to know where each person will be transitioned to.

We make sure we visit their new environments, to ensure students are best supported and their conditions thoroughly catered for. We also actively encourage students and their families to let us know their progress after college.

Quote Icon I have undertaken work experience in shops, I have gained a lot of independence, especially in caring for myself. I can travel on my own and I have learned how to communicate with people, I am more confident.
