Play therapy

Play is a vitally important part of students’ life at St Piers College, not only does it help students gain understanding and express themselves, but also for their overall social and emotional wellbeing.

Our dedicated Play Specialists and Play Therapists provide advice and support on play which is relevant to each individual, to ensure their education is supported.

Alongside this, they provide the advice and support students need to develop friendships, develop turn taking and the enjoyment of positive interaction with their peers.

Feedback from parents

Quote Icon My son is a changed person. He never wanted to engage with staff or his peers, often he was non compliant and would not interact in social activities or undertake tasks. He is now so much more proactive, he has learnt home skills where he undertakes tasks using his own initiative either with minimum prompting or totally unsupported.
