Vision and ethos

Independence, confidence and quality of life. Those three attributes sum up what we set out to help students achieve at St Piers College.

Our students should be challenged and stimulated to meet their aspirations – whatever those may be – and wherever possible actively encouraged to exceed expectations.

By the time they come to leave St Piers College, our aim is for students to have:

  • grown in self-esteem and confidence
  • become more resilient and assertive
  • improved their communication skills and their ability to interact with those around them
  • started taking decisions and assess choices
  • learned to respect each other, their peers and people supporting them.
